Today we’ve been working on Elevator Pitches. The expression comes from back in the days when this whole IT thing started, people found a technique to explain a business or a product the time it takes to ride with an elevator (probably for investors and CEO’s)

This is a powerful and compact way to explain what you do in your business, best of all you don’t need half an hour to explain what you do.

The definition elevator pitch is everything from 10 seconds till 2 minutes. The shorter it is, the better.

For example mine is only 35 words and it explains the most important USP (Unique Selling Point) in my business. I wont write it down now because my concept is not official yet, but it gives you an idea of how short an elevator speech could be. If you can say it in 3 words then…perfect!!

The important thing is to have different speeches depending on who you are talking to, one for investors and other business persons/networks, one for acquaints and friends.
