Are friends pushing your business concept down?

The truth is that if they are real friends they will help you in your strive for success, but a lot of people will be jealous when they know that you have a great idea that can make you money, fortune and prosperity from it.

We learn from childhood that being alone is failure and having a lot of friend is success. When we have friends and family around us we feel that we are part of something bigger, we feel that someone appreciates us, we have people to laugh with and to share our ups and downs with.
This is natural and it’s nothing wrong with it. Every man should strive to have as many friends as possible. Friends are people who we can reflect our deepest thoughts with. They help us when we feel down, they bring joy and laughter to our lives, they tell us when we do something wrong and they cheer us when we succeed.

Unfortunately some people are mistaken when they believe that having as much people as possible around them will make their life better. They don’t look for quality friends, instead they choose to be among people who care nothing about them only because they don’t want to be alone. We need to know the difference between having friends that care about our success and having people around us that just want to be part of something and don’t really care about our needs.

Why is this so important for your business? You might think that “I have a great business concept, my friends wont stop me from doing this”. The truth is that if it’s a real friend they will help you in your strive for success, but a lot of people will be jealous when they know that you have a great ide that can make you money, fortune and prosperity from it. This is why it is so important to analyze the people around you. It’s also important to analyze if your friends are telling you that “this is a bad concept” or “this is a bad idea” because they know it by experience, or because they don’t want you to succeed.

I wrote about mastermind groups and energy 2 days ago in this post, where I also wrote about how you need to be aware of what you spend your energy on. Energy is what keeps us going and working towards our goals, the more energy you spend on a goal the bigger the chance is that you will successfully reach it. See energy as fuel, if you stop at every red light for a burnout you wont have enough fuel to reach your destination. I know this sounds silly, but it’s exactly the same with life and energy.

There are a lot of elements in between that drains you from energy, and people who don’t want you to succeed is one.

This is not an invitation for you to go out there and end your friendship with everyone that wont help you succeed. This is an invitation for you to analyze who wants to help you and who wants to hurt you and evaluate who to spend more time with and who to spend less time with.
I believe that this quote from Wayne Dyer reflects why people fear loneliness so much: “You cannot be lonely if you like the person you’re alone with.”. We need to learn to appreciate ourselves, and who we are.

Thank you for reading. Tomorrow I’m going to write about other details you can do to gain more energy to focus on your business. Stay tuned!
