It is important that you don’t build your business the other way around even if you might be a world expert in your area…

It’s fundamental that you know what you’re good at when it comes to your abilities in your business. It’s also important to know your weaknesses and how to improve them.

It is important that you balance all parts in your business to make it stable.

Imagine your strengths divided into a triangle where each part of the triangle represents different parts of your strengths.

1. The first part and the platform in the triangle is yourself, how you see yourself, how you act, self-consciousness, self-confidence, belief in yourself as a business person, desire and burning fire for your company.  If you don’t have this fundamental platform you need to start building there. You need to believe in yourself and have a desire to reach your goals, you need to know who you are and what you want. This part is the most fundamental and it acts like fuel for all the other parts. If you can’t fill the rest of the pyramid this part will make sure that you Will do what it takes to get the ability and knowledge to succeed in your business.

2. The second part is the general part where your general strengths lies, like honesty as a business person, network building for your business, your understanding in how to sell your product, credibility as a business person, education and similar. I would say that this part of the triangle is the easy part, if you ask me. But it also depends on your background!

3. The third part is the Special strengths that defines your business and what you do. If you are a photographer you might have very good knowledge in photographing portrait and this might be your ability, you might be the best in your town. Simply, it’s the things that defines your business and its uniqueness, what makes you special.

By analyzing your strengths and weaknesses you can start building on the things that you don’t have, or the things you need to improve in your business. It is important that you don’t build your business the other way around even if you might be a world expert in your area. If you don’t know yourself and believe in yourself and if you don’t have any goals and dreams the chances to fail are bigger.

It is also important to understand that this triangle is not written in stone, different people defines it in different ways. Everyone defines each part differently, also the parts of the triangle can melt together.
